About the project
The Trust is committed to working with others to ensure that traditional skills particularly coble boat building are not lost to future generations.
The Trust and Tay Salmon Fisheries are supporting a local group in Newburgh Fife by providing the use of the Newburgh boatyard to build and repair boats. We are also working with a local school in Perth to secure a facility adjacent to the activity centre for building a skiff boat. Where possible the Trust will identify skilled craftsmen to pass on their skills and support the local group.
